Simple Meditation:
First, find a comfortable spot on the floor. Put a small pillow under your bottom so that when you sit up straight your spine seems 'straight' from tail to the top of your head. Relax and take deep breaths. Use your imagination to fill your lungs all the way to the bottom of your stomach and intestines. Nice deep breaths.
Imagine a root going down into the ground from the bottom of your spine. On your out-breath, let all of your energy go down, down into the ground. Grounding through the bottom of the spine, also called the 'root chakra', is very important because it keeps our energy rooted in the ground rather than all over the place in the air. Allow yourself an in-breath.
Without a teacher that is all I am going to show you about meditation because I don't want you to hurt yourself, and you can get hurt physically and mentally if you open up too fast without a teacher. If you are interested in meditation I urge you to find a teacher who can help you more. Meditation can help with your intuition and wisdom, so I encourage you to learn! I am sorry I couldn't teach you any more.
Meditation is a kind of prayer; as we bring our palm chakras together in prayer we meditate in a simple way. As you meditate or pray and your thoughts relax until you have no more thoughts, it is good to ask God about questions that perplex you. Then let yourself listen for an answer ... thoughts that come up after this may be an intuitive (God sent) means of hearing your answer. During your life, God will teach you and show you how to overcome problems; these insights are both intuitive (your intuition increases as you meditate) and external (the world constantly teaches). Over time you will learn your own language with God and begin to solve problems for yourself using this intuitive and external language. But don't forget to use common sense or ask elders and experts about your questions! Always use common sense, and allow yourself to grow.
